Licancabur, a 6000m stratovolcano that is shrouded in myth, casts its shadow over the town of San Pedro de Atacama and the imagination of the people in it.

Licancabur has one of the world’s highest crater lakes on its summit, which is said to contain Inca gold, and a mysterious sphere, which, if disturbed, will risk the volcano’s wrath.
