KABN is two architect designed, off-grid, luxury cabins with loch views, and private beaches on the shores of Loch Fyne in West Scotland.

I was struck by the the nod to Japanese minimalism, the use of premium natural materials and attention given to the design details at KABN. To me this was the brands essence: that spending time in spaces that have minimalist design aesthetics provides mental clarity, enabling guests to reset and reconnect with themselves during their stay. The experience reminded me of the practice of shinrin-yoku, which is the Japanese term for mindful in a forest atmosphere — I was feeling the benefits within minutes.
